Prayers for Afghans It is dangerous to be a Christian in Afghanistan and Christian Afghans can suffer persecution. Believers in the USA and Canada can experience danger to themselves and their families back in Afghanistan. For this reason the names have been changed. The prayer requests below are for real people with real needs in their lives. The Holy Spirit knows who they are and who you are praying for.
• Prayers that God would move among the Afghans in the Northwest, Vancouver B.C., Bellingham, Seattle, Boise, Sacramento and Portland. • Pray for the Afghans in Boise, Bellingham, Seattle and Vancouver B.C. to get saved. • God has begun to move and surface some pockets of Afghan believers in the NW – pray He would continue to do so. • Bellingham, Kent and Seattle - pray God would continue to move and surface Afghans and that He would direct us. • Prayers the Lord would move among the Afghans in the countries of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Iran.
• Prayers for (insert) friend in Germany to be protected and strengthened and that Christ would move among Muslims in Europe.
• Prayers for (insert) and (insert) in Vancouver BC, that they would get saved, their entire household and their group of friends in the Vancouver area. Prayers for Zaki’s family in Afghanistan – his wife and 4 children that they would get saved.

Pray for Hazaras in AfghanistanThey were once the largest Afghan ethnic group, constituting nearly two-thirds of the total population of the country before the 19th century. Today, they are less than ten percent of the population of Afghanistan. Hazaras speak a dialect of Dari (Farsi dialect) called Hazaragi and the majority of them follow the Shi’a (Twelver Imami) school of Islam. As a result, Shi’a Hazaras constitute a religious minority in a country where the majority practice Sunni Islam.
Well before the Taliban took control of Kabul on 15 August 2021, Hazaras faced an escalating campaign of violence by the Taliban and Islamic State – Khorasan as well as structural discrimination by the government in Kabul. A wave of violence that deliberately targeted Hazara mosques, cultural and educational centers in Kabul and other provincial centers claimed the lives of several hundred Hazara civilians. - From Minority Rights Group
